01 | Who Can Request a Japanese Travel Agency?
Travelers based overseas may contact a Japanese travel agency directly. Individuals, families, private groups, companies, and overseas travel agencies can enquire about services suited to their needs.
Requests may cover a complete customized itinerary or individual services such as accommodation, transport, and activities. The applicable contract type depends on the services arranged.
- Independent travelers, families, and private groups
- Corporate trips, business visits, and group activities
- Overseas travel agencies seeking ground services in Japan
02 | Custom Trips for Overseas Travelers

A custom itinerary begins with the destination, dates, group size, budget, and travel preferences, followed by a review of transport, accommodation, and activity options.
Based in Osaka, TUKISUMI primarily arranges travel in Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, and Kobe. Requests for other parts of Japan or overseas destinations may be considered based on itinerary requirements and available local resources.
- Family holidays, private tours, and small groups
- Sightseeing, cultural experiences, and special activities
- Accommodation, transport, and travel routes
- Company visits and business travel
03 | Two-Way Requests Between Travel Agencies

TUKISUMI accepts requests from overseas travel agencies for Kansai ground services. For clients requesting custom trips abroad, TUKISUMI may also enquire with travel agencies at the destination based on the itinerary and local conditions.
Before placing a request, the parties should confirm service responsibilities, on-site arrangements, quotations, contracts, and applicable terms. Availability is assessed case by case, depending on the requirements and local resources.
- Overseas agency → TUKISUMI: Kansai ground services, accommodation, transport, experiences, and business itineraries
- TUKISUMI → Overseas agency: Assessment of local reception and service arrangements for overseas destinations
04 | Information to Prepare Before Enquiring
Start with dates, duration, group size and ages, accommodation, budget and the activity that matters most. Mark undecided items as open for discussion in the examples below.
| Client | Example brief |
|---|---|
| Individual or family | Hotels in Osaka are booked; request one day of cultural activities in Kyoto. State the date, group size, children’s ages, walking needs and whether the total budget includes transport and meals. |
| Travel agency | Request local arrangements for a Kansai group. Supply a draft itinerary, daily service start and end points, room and meal needs, luggage, languages and tour-leader duties; distinguish booked items from requested arrangements. |
Process: send requirements → confirm the feasible scope → compare proposals and quotations → agree the contract, payment and cancellation terms → check the itinerary and meeting details after reservations are confirmed. A proposal or quotation request alone does not confirm a booking; use the agreed contract and reservation results.
Separate essential and flexible items, and check quotation validity, whether capacity is being held and how group-size changes affect pricing. See custom Kansai travel for itinerary choices.
05 | Registration, Quotations, and Contracts
Before appointing an agency, check its travel registration and identify who is responsible for itinerary planning, reservations, ground services, and emergency contact.
Review inclusions, exclusions, additional charges, payment arrangements, and change or cancellation terms. The applicable contract documents govern the final booking.
TUKISUMI LLC is registered with the Governor of Osaka Prefecture as Travel Agency No. 3-3275. Requests for custom trips and travel arrangements in Japan or overseas are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
